BBC News website highlights the problem of nitrogen pollution

Thursday July 24th, 2008

In a piece for the BBC News website, Mark Sutton, a researcher at CEH Edinburgh and co-chair of the UN's Task Force on Reactive Nitrogen (TFRN), aims to raise the awareness of the problems caused by nitrogen pollution in a public whose imagination is currently focussed on carbon emissions and climate change.

The piece follows the publication of two reviews on nitrogen pollution in the journal Science, and aims to gather views from members of the public on what society should do about the problem.

You can have your say on the NitroNet online poll or contribute to the discussion of Mark's piece on the BBC website (Further Information link below).
